Job Description

Description:

  • Assist the department manager to coordinate the effective running of department operations for the Branch as may be required.
  • Ensure merchandise are ordered or replenished in good time to achieve 100% availability and shelving of listed merchandise.
  • Ensure goods from the back store are regularly moved to the shop floor.
  • Monitor damaged and expiry goods to minimize losses and control shrinkage.
  • Responsible for revenue and profit optimization for the department. 
  • Supervise crew training in line with training and development plans.
  • Ensure the availability of quality products on display in all stores as may be required. 
  • Ensure the standard and quality of Ambient/Non-Food products are always at the highest levels.
  • Updating retail selling price and latest price and latest price labels are pasted on shelves.
  • Assist the department manager for achieving sales targets and increase over the previous year in sales for the department.
  • Carrying out regular markets surveys to identify products Buyer should be sourcing and provide information for pricing to drive sales and meet corporate objectives.
  • Assist to drive product range selection and rotation. 
  • Assist the department manager in standards setting and compliance Management.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

Recent graduate or individuals with NYSC and no more than 3 years of experience in a retail or related field.

Passion for the retail industry and a strong desire to build a career in retail management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
